Principles
Nightline follows a set of principles to ensure the provision of a safe space for individuals seeking support. By adhering to these principles, Nightline creates an environment where people can freely express themselves without fear of judgment or interference, fostering a sense of safety and trust.

Non-judgemental
Nightline has no political, religious, ethnic, cultural or moral stance. We respect the views of any caller

Non-directive
Nightline lets the caller guide the conversation. We do not steer towards a particular course of action or prompt a response

Non-advisory
Nightline only gives factual, impartial information from reliable sources. Nightline allows callers to talk and express concerns. We are not qualified to give advice.

Anonymous
Nightline does not attempt to find out the identity or location of the caller. Likewise, the Nightline volunteers remain anonymous.

Confidential
Nightline does not divulge the content of the calls to anyone outside the service unless under specific emergency circumstances (Please see the Confidentiality tab located in the menu bar for more details).
